It is widely reported that Danny Kent has been 'jocked off' for the forth-coming Thailand GP. Kent's 'Speed Up' team will replace Danny with Edgar Pons, (a deal 'rumoured' to have been struck by Sito Pons,) at the next Moto2 to be held at the Chang International Circuit.. Thailand became the latest Asian country to host a world-class motorcycling event in 2015 running a round of the Superbike World Championship and just 3 years later the MotoGP circus moves in....What now for Danny Kent who won the Moto 3 World Championship in 2015 ?
Congratulations to ex' Moto 3 rider Danny Webb, who converted to road racing, won yet again at Frohburg over the weekend to take the IIRC Superbjke championship after a season of almost total dominance in the series and became the European Road Race Championship. Since switching to Road Racing Danny has made consistent progress as a regular competitor at the Isle of Man TT and in the Classic TT; honing his road racing skills leading to this prestigious championship title.
Jake Dixon will start the 2019 season in a new 'Angel Nieto' Moto 2 team .It will be a step up for the highly rated Dixon, who, despite still challenging for the BSB title, in second place behind Leon Haslam with 5 races still to go, Dixon has already signed to ride in the Moto 2 World Championship next year...It is not known at this time if Jake will test with the team at Valencia after the last GPs' presumably he will.
